The People’s Portfolio:
Moving Money toward Collective Freedom

I’M READY, SHOW ME HOW

Move Your Personal Money.

I and/or my family have investments in wall street

I have a retirement account provided by my employer

I don’t have investments in wall street, but I do have money in a bank

Take Collective Action.

I want to get involved where we live

I want to do this work with my friends and community and need resources to do so

I want to influence where my school, employer, faith community invests their money

Get Inspired

“My spouse and I live in a rural community where poor and working class folks are barely getting by. We took all funds from our Fidelity Investments 403(b) retirement accounts out of the bank, took the tax hit, and gave away some funds toward mutual aid needs and reinvested some of it in Salish Sea Cooperative Finance, a co-op that is fighting the student debt crisis. Making this move helped us feel in our bodies that our safety is not in the stock market, but rather in our connections to our neighbors.”
