- STEP 1: Talk to Your People
- STEP 2: Invite Your People into Divest/Invest Circle
- STEP 3: Learn, Practice and Reflect

Step 1
- Write down 3-5 people in your life (loved ones, neighbors, friends, family, co-workers, etc) who you think might be interested in speaking with you about your hopes to divest from violence and invest in collective freedom.
- Start reaching out by sharing why you care about these issues, why you’re inspired to move your money out of companies and industries that fuel violence and into the well being of communities.
- Ask curious questions and engage in conversations that lead from shared values and an openness to hearing where the other person is at and what might get in the way of them taking action in support of collective freedom.

Step 2
- Invite people who you’ve spoken with to participate in a divest/invest circle with you, with the purpose of:
- understanding where your money is currently held and/or invested
- taking action to move your money and challenge the employers and institutions you’re part of to practice their values
- sharing with others in your extended community about what your learning and calling them into learning and action with you.
- Expect that people will be at different points of their political and financial journeys when they enter into a group with you. Invite people to share openly what they’re hoping to get out of the group and what types of supports they may need to move towards action together.
